This is Part 5 - and the conclusion - of a series of personal stories on the topic of my voice - how the theme of my voice - or lack thereof - has woven itself throughout my life. I’m currently in the process of claiming it in all its glory by embracing a new and completely unexpected way to voice my voice into the world…

Once a time a time, blogging was only part of how I wanted to share my voice into the world…
I write on my blog with a fair amount of frequency - through the years it has given me the opportunity to reach out and connect with the world (or, rather, with a small handful of people who read it…). Its latest incarnation is here at Once a Time a Time where I focus mainly on stories from and about my life. Writing has proven to be a faithful companion and continues to increase the quality of my life immeasurably. Now that I’ve found my voice, I’m determined to use it - and use it well and often.
Earlier this year, I had a bit of an epiphany and the phrase, “I want to do a podcast!” spontaneously came out of me (and there was no clapping of a hand over my mouth). In that split second, a pearl that’s been growing inside me was recognized and articulated. The last few years, I’ve been on a journey of self development, personal exploration, discovering my true self and honoring my gifts. I’ve discovered so much about myself, and the most surprising - at least initially - is that one of my deepest core desires is to be heard; that I have something of value to share and if I don’t, my life won’t be complete. Once I connected with that desire, it made so much sense! My whole life has been leading here; to this place where I freely express my personal truth as a means to share my experiences with others and connect through storytelling.
Blogging is a very rewarding outlet for me - but I feel ready to try a new angle and tell stories in a different way. So my podcast plan was hatched in February and the pieces have been coming together nicely since then. You can read the details of my Seeing from the Inside Out podcast here. The drop date has been pushed back due to my producer (my husband Scott) being sick for a couple weeks but we’re set to premier in early July.
At long last, I’ve arrived at me, with lots to say. It’s been a long time coming, but it’s right on time… The next leg of my journey to voice my voice into the world begins!
I hope you’ll listen.
Thanks for what you do Gina. Following this has really helped me.
